Rules, agents and order Permalink

Published in Physica A: Statistical Mechanics and its Applications, 2025

In this work, we investigate how, under varying combinations of system-wide selection rules and special agents, different classes of random processes give rise to global order, with a focus restricted to finite-size networks.

2D Metalorganic Ferromagnets Permalink

Published in Advanced Science, 2025

This work details the formation, structure, and magnetic behavior of a single-layer 2D metalorganic coordination network made of Ni atoms and tetracyanoethylene (TCNE) molecules.

Bifurcation in cellular evolution Permalink

Published in Physica A: Statistical Mechanics and its Applications, 2023

Modifications to the graph topology of an intracellular catalytic reaction network model lead to a percolation-like phase transition, which is mapped into a bifurcation in the intracellular dynamics, so that the most probable state is suddenly switched from cellular stagnation to exponential growth.

Evolutionary timeline of a modeled cell Permalink

Published in Journal of Theoretical Biology, 2022

A theoretical study of cell evolution is presented here. By using a toolbox containing an intracellular catalytic reaction network model and a mutation–selection process, four distinct phases of self-organization were unveiled.
